両親がオプラのインタビューを受けたことへの抗議。

オプラがやったという小児愛者の番組とやらをyoutubeで探してみましたがヘンな映像ばかり見つかりまして、証拠物件として上げるのは断念します。それっぽいことはそれっぽいんですけど。興味のある人は行ってみてください。

まあ、ジャーナリストというのはご都合主義のヒトが多いんでしょうね…、
とくにアメリカだからなのか…。

ランディを遠ざけた「彼ら」とはオプラ側のことなのか両親も含まれるのかわかりませんが、
どちらにしろ両親には考えがあって出ることにしたのでしょう。
世の中に伝えたいこともあるだろうし、
「損して得取れ」的な感じかしら。。

キャサリンママの自伝の言葉も浮かぶ私。

Randy was my argumentative one. Rebbie nicknamed him Little Professor because he loved to debate. If one of his friends said the ball was red, Randy would say it was green just to be difficult.

まあ、ママにこう思われているランディですから、
ママ達もランディの言うことはそう簡単には聞かないでしょうねえ。

マイケルが亡くなってからはジャネットもオプラのインタビューを受けていました。
ジャネットはかなり冷静でしたが、
今思えば色々思う中で出たのかもしれませんね。

私個人的には両親の判断も尊重するけれど、
ランディ、あなたの考えを教えてくれてありがとう。
オプラというビッグネームに真っ向から挑むのはそう簡単なことじゃないと思う。

オプラって人を、ちょっと冷静に見てみようと思う。
